Here are the ten categories:

Concrete/Structural

• Use of masonry as the primary structural element. Please define structural elements and ensure pictures demonstrate the structural masonry components, including in progress photographs

Multi Family

• Multi family structures utilizing masonry as a significant part of the design (four plus stories, no height restriction)

Commercial Building

• In recognition of a commercial building that utilizes masonry as a significant part of the design.

Single Family

• In recognition of masonry use and visual appeal of a single-family dwelling.

Restoration

• In recognition of projects where significant masonry restoration was undertaken. Ensure before and after photographs are included as well as unique conditions or challenging components of the restoration.

Institutional

• In recognition of an Institutional structure that utilizes masonry as a significant part of the design.

Artistic Design (including landscape)

• Use of masonry as an art form; can be either interior or exterior applications. Examples of application in the category (but not limited to) are special coursing, unique layout, sculptures, unique shapes, etc.

Townhome/Row Housing

• In recognition of buildings utilizing masonry which are less than four stories.

Adhered Masonry Veneer – Residential

• In recognition of projects that utilize thin masonry systems as a significant part of the design of a residential project

Adhered Masonry Veneer – Commercial

• In recognition of projects that utilize thin masonry systems as a significant part of the design of a commercial/institutional project
